Logistics

Before you Arrive

Upon booking Plavi San you will receive our direct contact information, so feel free to ask us any questions you may have. A member of Ante's family (they speak Croatian and some English) will meet you at the apartment to give you the keys and a quick tour of your vacation rental.

On your way to Sevid, we recommend doing a big shopping at Lidl. It's right by the airport and on your way. While there is a seasonal grocery store walking distance from the apartment, the selection and prices are better in a big store.

During Your Stay

You have the apartment all to yourself; you won't see or hear from us unless you want to. Check out our "Apartment and Area Guide" (English only) when you arrive! We are more than happy to give you recommendations for local activities, or to just let you rest and relax in peace. If there are any problems during your stay let us know and we will try and correct them as quick as we can.

If you are already planning for your stay in Sevid, read below for some of our favorite activities in the area!

All Good Things...

We hate leaving Sevid and returning to "normal" but such is life! We do not charge a cleaning fee (unlike most apartments), since we want our fee to be fully inclusive. However, we ask that in return you try not to leave the apartment too messy! We will discuss in advance what to do with the keys, as each case is different.

If you loved your stay at Plavi San, please be sure to leave us a good review on our Airbnb listing.

Eat Like a Croatian:: Croatian cuisine varies greatly between the coastal regions and continental areas, and we hope you take some time to try as much fresh, local food as you can. Along the Dalmatian coast, be sure to try some of the delicious fresh seafood dishes from the area. One our our favorites is crni rižot, a black risotto made with seafood and cuttlefish ink. Don't forget to try cevapcici, a skinless sausage (typically of beef and/or pork) one of the most famous Croatian dishes. Try it with some spicy ajvar for some nice kick!

Cool off like a local with a nice glass of Cockta or Pipi, two refreshing sodas. You can also try some local Croatian wine (The Plavac Mali grape is an ancestor of Zinfandel!), or some cherry liquor: visnjevača. Sweet tooth? Check out Kraš, a Croatian company that makes delicious chocolates! Or just wander down the grocery store aisles and go off on your own culinary adventure!
